Fire in your eyes
and a soul made of ice
and your heart is in a vice-like grip full of hate
You spend every day seeking revenge
but tell me where does it end
You spend every night lying awake
Planning your next move
Well it's yours to make
and every shade of black
Is like a dagger to you
Slicing through the memories
of everything you haven't got left to lose
Well tell me what is it worth
Your life or hers
You know you're really the only one to blame
Her love, it didn't kill
and your hate won't save what's already gone

So I've been having a little look through my writing WIP folder which is overflowing since I've apparently become inable to actually complete anything anymore...
aaand there were a few lil pieces I thought would perhaps do as they are, this being one of them. I wrote it last year and it's inspired - as the title indicates - by a character named Jude, from the Noughts and Crosses series of books by Malorie Blackman. If you know the books and the character you'll get it (I hope). If not, well make what you will of it and I hope you like it anyway

This is brilliant! I am an actor who once played Jude in a theatre production of Noughts and Crosses and I think this really conveys his character.
